History

Carmichael Fisher is Australian owned.

Michael Markiewicz, CEO, qualified as a Solicitor in England and later in New South Wales.  He has been in recruitment since 1982, he previously owned and ran Hamilton James & Bruce from 1985 to 2001, developing this into one of Australia’s leading recruitment companies.  

Coming out of the 2001 to 2002 recession Michael saw an opportunity to create a fresh brand with some of the country’s most experienced consultants and recognised industry experts.  Initially this was in Australia and from here we went overseas opening offices in Dubai, London, Hong Kong and Singapore.  All of our global businesses are owned and managed by people with significant local experience and deep client relationships.
